Responsibilities:
• Prepare and compile detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to ensure accurate estimations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements.
• Conduct market research to determine material and labor costs.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning for projects.
• Identify potential cost saving opportunities and risks.
• Prepare bid proposals and support documentation.
• Maintain and update estimation databases and historical data.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and industry regulations.
• Support project teams during execution to monitor cost performance against estimates.
• Continuously improve estimation processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Proven experience (at least 5 years) in construction estimating, preferably in electro-mechanical or structural steel construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with estimating software.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
